The Corbus defense turret is an armored immobile launch platform of an extra long-range version of the ubiquitous Omni-Threat missiles. Doing away with ultra-expensive fusion reactors and multi-focal point shield emitters, the Corbus can provide with a reliable source of static firepower at a small fraction of the cost of a mobile unit, rendering it the obvious choice for guard duty.
