The War Synthetics are robotic infantry with 3rd generation AI cognition systems. Pressed for manpower and reluctant to assign basic infantry work to precious highly trained human fighters, the Orbital Combine resorted to this solution as their AI-based cognition systems are readily available. Although not always adaptable or inventive enough, their fast reflexes, configurable psychology system and heavy armament render them more than capable of handling the great majority of infantry tasks.
